The county bridge is being repaired following the latest inspection reports that labeled this bridge's deck as "poor" condition due to numerous large spalls, exposed rebar, and failing previous repairs.

The purpose of this project is to restore the structural condition of this deck by replacement of the existing concrete deck. The deck replacement will also include the replacement of the existing brush curb, sidewalk, and new four-bar railing on both sides of the bridge, according to the county.

The substructure and existing pre-stressed box beams will not be replaced, however, select spall repairs will be performed.

The construction contract was awarded in March and is estimated to cost $694,190. The project is funded by a FY2020 New Jersey Department Of Transportation Local Bridge Future Needs grant.
