BASKING RIDGE, NJ — While many local neighbors disagreed with the judges on NBC's America's Got Talent, Basking Ridge's Sharpe Family singers ultimately did not receive enough votes to continue into the finals on Wednesday.

The family appeared on Wednesday night for the live semifinals results show.

The Sharpe Family Singers previously performed in the live semifinals on Tuesday night where they chose the Kansas song "Carry On Wayward Son."

Celebrity judges criticized their song choice and Howie Manvel gave them an "X" on Tuesday night.

"It felt like a cruise ship, it felt a little bit corny, it felt outdated… You shouldn’t be singing rock and roll. Stay in your lane, musical theater," said Mandel.

Their first performance in June during the audition dazzled the judges, when Barbara, Ron, and their four children Samantha, Logan, Connor, and Aidan sang "How Far I'll Go" from Disney's Moana.

Judges felt the family should have picked a song similar to their June performance. See Related: See Basking Ridge Family Perform On NBC's America's Got Talent
