Former Basking Ridge Resident Passes Away At 86-Years-Old

William Edmund ”Bill” McHugh passed away at the age of 86 on Thursday, July 16. He was surrounded by family.

Before moving to Rehoboth Beach, Del., McHugh lived and raised his family in the Basking Ridge section of Bernards Township, according to The Bernardsville News.

“He graduated from St. Peter’s College in NJ in 1951 and was commissioned an Ensign in the Navy, where he served until 1955,” , according to Legacy.com. ” After leaving the Navy, he worked in the computer field for a number of companies including Perkin Elmer, GE, Concurrent Computer and Remington Rand.”

McHugh was an avid golfer, reader, and model train enthusiast.
