Giving Tuesday is a global initiative that brings people together to harness the potential of collective generosity. Fortunately for folks in the Basking Ridge area, there’s no shortage of organizations nearby that could greatly benefit from your support.

Here are five outstanding organizations in the Basking Ridge area. Please consider volunteering or donating to them for Giving Tuesday and beyond.


  1. Heartworks — Dedicated to supporting people experiencing chronic illness, surprise injuries, grief or natural disasters, Heartworks provides a variety of groups for attendees to find support and fellowship.   2. Mr. Local History Project — Based in the Somerset Hills area, this volunteer organization creates educational programs that showcase New Jersey’s history.   3. Holiday Hope — Focused on spreading the joy of the holiday season with children, Holiday Hope provides wrapped Christmas gifts to local families in need.
