New School Board Members Sworn In, New President Selected In Bernards Township

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Incumbent Jennifer White along with newcomers Janice Corrado and David Shaw were sworn in to serve on the Bernards Township Board of Education at the Reorganization meeting on Tuesday night.

White, Corrado, and Shaw all won one of the three, three-year seats on the board in the November election over incumbent Lawrence Rascio along with Erin Weber and Deborah Marcus.

Additionally at the meeting, Tim Salmon and Kirsten Lighter were nominated to serve as Board President. Salmon won the majority.

"Thank you very much, everybody. I am glad to step into this role," said Salmon at the meeting.

White and Light were both nominated to serve as Vice President and White ultimately won the majority.

The next meeting will be held on Monday, Jan. 22 at 7 p.m. at Ridge High School Performing Arts Center.
