School Start Times, Tiered Bussing To Be Discussed In Bernards Township

The district is considering alternative school start times for Sept. 2024 to allow more sleep and be more efficient with bus transportation.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — The public is invited to discuss alternative school start time schedules and related tiering of bus routes at the next Bernards Township Connect meeting.

"Our district is considering alternative school start times for September 2024 that could provide our older students with more opportunity for sleep daily and be more efficient with bus transportation," said Superintendent Nick Markarian.

A public BT Connect meeting on this topic will take place on Monday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. in the Ridge High School cafeteria at 268 S Finley Ave.
