Summer Horse Camp for Age 6 to 8 at LSS

The Somerset County Park Commission Lord Stirling Stable will host the “Lil’ Pardners Summer Camp” for children age 6 to 8 years. The series of week-long camps will be held at the Stable, located at 256 South Maple Avenue in Basking Ridge.

The “Lil’ Pardners” camp is scheduled Monday to Friday, July 13 to 17; July 20 to July 24; August 10 to August 14; and August 24 to 28, 2020. Each camp day runs from 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.

‘Lil’ Pardners” will include a daily 45-minute riding lesson. Children will also learn basic pony care including grooming, learning through fun, hands-on activities including horse costume classes, pony games, painting on live horses, and crafts.

Each week is limited to 4 campers. Fee is $300 for Somerset County residents and $450 for out of county. Fees for the second and subsequent weeks are offered at a discount ($250/week for Somerset County residents, $387.50/week for out of county residents). This discount applies to a second child in Lil’ Pardners or in Junior Summer Camp for 9-17 year olds.

Lord Stirling Stable offers a full complement of riding activities for riders of most ages and abilities. All riders are required to wear an ASTM/SEI approved equestrian helmet and boots.
