BASKING RIDGE, NJ — It was a snowy Super Bowl Sunday for Basking Ridge. While not much fell or even stuck to the ground, Basking Ridge did see some accumulation.

The National Weather Service shared the snow totals on Feb. 13, however, they are not entirely complete as some were reported as of Sunday morning when snow was still falling.

In New Jersey, Hardwick Township in Warren County reported the highest amount of snowfall with 5 inches.

Somerset County wasn't too far behind with 3 inches reported in Warren followed by Basking Ridge with 2.9 inches.

  • Bridgewater (Martinsville) 2.7 inches
  • Somerville -2.2 inches
  • Raritan - 1.8 inches

While Sunday and Monday are chilly the NWS is reporting warmer temperatures as the week progresses.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 28. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.

Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 11. Northwest wind around 5 mph.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 34. Light west wind increasing to 5 to 10 mph in the morning.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 20. Calm wind.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 48. Light southeast wind becoming south 5 to 10 mph in the morning.

Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 40.

Thursday: Showers likely, mainly after 1 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 62. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent.

Thursday Night: Showers. Low around 46. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 48.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 20.
