'Truly Kind, Generous' Describes Far Hills, Mountainside 29-Year-Old Who Died Monday

Ryan Scott Richard McAdam's "engaging personality, quick wit, and tremendous dance moves lit up every room he was in."

FAR HILLS, NJ — A Far Hills and former Mountainside 29-year-old man died suddenly on Monday.

Ryan Scott Richard McAdam of Far Hills passed away suddenly on Monday, June 12, 2017 at the age of 29.

"Ryan was a truly kind and generous individual. Ryan’s engaging personality, quick wit, and tremendous dance moves lit up every room he was in. He was very patriotic and passionate about his Irish heritage as well. His infectious smile, made everyone feel as though they were the most important person in the world.," his obituary stated.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Sunday, June 18 from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Paul Ippolito Berkeley Memorial, 646 Springfield Ave, Berkeley Heights. A funeral Mass will be offered on Monday, June 19 at 11 a.m. in St. James Catholic Church, Basking Ridge.

Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Basking Ridge.

Ryan was born in St. Barnabas Hospital in Livingston on Nov. 27, 1987. He was a resident of Mountainside before moving to Far Hills. Ryan was a graduate of Governor Livingston High School where he excelled on the Baseball and Football teams. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Susquehanna University and was a member of the football team. After graduation, Ryan became a managing partner of his family’s business, Stirling Fine Wines, in Stirling.

Ryan is survived by his loving parents, Donna (nee Neigel) and Richard McAdam, his cherished sisters, Jillian Curcio (David) and Dani McAdam, aunts: Dr. Janet Neigel (Newton White), Lynn Lynch (Drew) and Kristen Chiriaco (James).

He is also survived by his nephews Jack Curcio, (godson) and Cooper Curcio, and his 14 first cousins, and many second cousins. Ryan was predeceased by his grandparents.
