BERKELEY, NJ — It seems like the rain will never end (though we should see blue skies on Thursday). Since the remnants of Hurricane Ian hit the Jersey Shore, it seems as though the storms have been nonstop as Ocean County got pummeled.

Berkeley got hit by lots of rain, and unofficial numbers from the National Weather Service tell us just how much.

More than six inches of rain hit the Jersey Shore since Oct. 1, which some areas receiving even more.

Here are the numbers since Saturday around Berkeley, according to the NWS and the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail and Snow Network:

  • Berkeley Township: 7.74 inches per NWS, 9.41 inches per CoCoRaHS
  • Pinewald: 7.29 inches per NWS
  • Pine Beach: 7.72 inches per CoCoRaHS
  • South Seaside Park: 5.2 inches per NWS
