Sheltered For Almost 1 Year, 'Marvelous Marvin' Is Still Waiting To Be Adopted

Friends of the Somerset Regional Animal Shelter are quite puzzled as to why Marvin has yet to be adopted.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — It's been almost 1 year, and "Marvelous Marvin" is still waiting at the Somerset Regional Animal Shelter(SRAS) to be adopted.

"He really is such a sweet, sweet boy. He loves to hang out and do his own thing," said Bridget Apgar, an SRAS animal care technician.

Marvin is 11 years old and described as a handsome, sweet, gentle go-with-the-flow kinda guy. He’ll play a little, but really he’s a couch potato in a cat suit. He’s quite happy to survey his domain from a comfy bed on a perch.

His ideal home would be on the chill side, with folks to give him plenty of head rubs. He’d even be ok with another mellow cat given a proper introduction.

Marvin is currently in the shelter's Open Cat Room, hanging out with some other kitties. Locals are encouraged to stop by and meet the good boy.
