Beginning July 1, Edison Library To Have Extended Hours

The expanded hours will provide patrons with additional access to all buildings.

EDISON, NJ - The Edison Public Library will be extending its hours of operation beginning July 1. All three Edison Public Library buildings will be open an hour later on Friday and Saturday evenings with the Main Library opening an hour earlier on Sundays.

“We are dedicated to meeting patron demand and, by extending our operating hours, will be able to provide Township residents with additional access to services,” Allan M. Kleiman, director of the Edison Public Library, said.

Currently, the Main Library is under renovation, Work at the North Edison Branch is expected to begin shortly.

The expanded hours will provide patrons additional access to all buildings during this time, Kleiman said.

Effective July 1, the Main Library, as well as the Clara Barton and North Edison branches, will be open Monday through Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Main Library will be open on Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. Access to materials and some services is also available 24/7 online through the library’s website and through its online databases.

Main Hours

  • Monday – Thursday: 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Friday – Saturday: 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Sunday: 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

North Edison Branch

  • Monday – Thursday: 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Friday – Saturday: 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Sunday: Closed

Clara Barton Branch

  • Monday – Thursday: 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Friday – Saturday: 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Sunday: Closed
