Jewelry Stolen From Forked River Business: Police

Several display cases were broken into and an unknown amount of jewelry was stolen from Biele Jewelers, Lacey police said.

LACEY, NJ — An investigation has been launched into a recent burglary of a local jewelry store, Lacey police said Friday.

Around 5:20 a.m. on Feb. 8, Lacey police responded to Biele Jewelers for a burglar alarm call.

Upon arriving, police found a broken glass door, "and it was evident the business had been burglarized," police said.

Several display cases had been broken into, and an unknown amount of jewelry was stolen, police said.

Police did not find any subjects in the business at that time, they said.

The Ocean County Sheriff's Department CSI Unit, along with Lacey detectives Jesse Dalziel and Adam Ewart, responded to the process the scene and assumed the investigation.

This incident remains under investigation by members of the Lacey Township Police Department Detective Bureau.
