Lacey police are reminding both residents and visitors to take necessary steps to help prevent car thefts.
LACEY, NJ — Whether you live here year-round or you're just here for the summer, Lacey police want to remind you how you can prevent car thefts.
Lock your car doors and bring your key fobs inside with you, Lacey police said.
"The majority of motor vehicle thefts involve cars that have the key fobs left inside them, while at the same time the majority of thefts from inside vehicles are from unlocked cars," Lacey police said.
