New Urgent Care Center Opens in Livingston

LIVINGSTON, NJ — They'll doctor Livingston, one presumes.

American Family Care opened Monday a new walk-in urgent care care center at 90 South Livingston Ave. near Arden Avenue, the group announced.

Mayor Michael Vieira made an appearance at the ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the new resource for residents of Essex County.

“We are so happy that you chose Livingston to be your next home,” Vieira told AFC. “This is a really beautiful location, and Livingston is so fortunate to have you here.”

Services provided at the nearly 4,000-square-foot center include digital x-rays, lab testing, physicals, occupational medicine services and treatment of non-life-threatening ailments.

AFC Livingston will be open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends.

The sixth AFC walk-in urgent care center in central and northern New Jersey is owned by Albert Saad. Dr. Avery Browne will serve as medical director.

“We are all New Jerseyans, and our leadership works hands-on in our centers on a daily basis," said Dr. Browne.

"This means we manage with an emphasis on patient care and attention to detail. As with everything we do, we are mindful of maintaining the highest standards.”
