Nurses At Livingston Hospital Agree To 3-Year Work Contract

LIVINGSTON, NJ — A hospital in Livingston has reached an agreement on a new work contract with its unionized nurses, administrators announced.

Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center (CBMC) said that nurses with New Jersey Nurses Union/CWA 1091 have ratified a new, three-year collective bargaining agreement.

The vote, which took place on Dec. 22, was the final approval of a memorandum of agreement that was reached Dec. 18, hospital administrators said, citing “months of good faith negotiations.”

Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center president and CEO Rick Davis said the new contract is a “fair and equitable resolution that reflects our shared commitment to patients and staff.”

“Our nurses’ contributions to this hospital are immeasurable,” Davis said, adding that administrators “look forward to building upon the successes we’ve achieved together and developing new ways to better serve our community.”
