DWI Checkpoints In Hazlet, West Long Branch This Weekend

There will be two DWI checkpoints in Monmouth County this weekend, July 12 and 13:

WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ — This upcoming weekend, the Monmouth County DWI Task Force will be conducting two checkpoints:

The first will be on Friday night (July 12) in West Long Branch. Starting at 10 p.m. and ending at 2 a.m., all drivers on Rt. 36 westbound will be diverted into the Monmouth Corporate Center, where drivers will be screened for sobriety.

The second checkpoint will be Saturday night (July 13) in Hazlet. Beginning at 10 p.m. and ending at 2 a.m., all eastbound cars on Rt. 36 will be diverted into the At Home Recreation Center, where all drivers will be screened for sobriety.

In both situations, officers from local police departments will be working alongside Task Force members.

"The Task Force encourages everyone to be responsible and urges all drivers to use the many options available to drivers these days if they plan on drinking," said the Monmouth County DWI Task Force in a statement.
