Chevy Chase, Danny Trejo To Shoot Movie Scene In Mahwah

MAHWAH, NJ — A scene for an upcoming movie starring Chevy Chase, Danny Trejo and Judd Hirsch in which elderly characters swim in a pool and emerge feeling younger will be shot in Mahwah, according to location scout and manager for the film Jason Kadlec.

The scene will be shot at a property off of Halifax Road situated in a heavily forested area at the top of a hill, Kadlec said. He added that the movie, titled "Wild Pitch," will film for a total of 25 days across several New Jersey municipalities, including Emerson, Westwood and Kinnelon.

"We are looking to complete the film 100% in New Jersey," Kadlec said at the Mahwah Township Council meeting on Sept. 22.

A request for a waiver of filming hours was approved on the council's consent agenda.

Kadlec said the film crew would notify neighbors in an effort to minimize any inconvenience, and that only the most important people will be on set for filming.

For the shot, he added, fake moonlight will be created with a helium balloon light.
