This Morristown BBQ Spot Was Named One Of The Best In NJ

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Most people don't think of New Jersey when they think of delicious barbecue, but there are plenty of options for BBQ fans in the Garden State.

One Morristown restaurant has been named one of the state's best barbecue joints for 2023, according to a report.

Website Best of NJ put together a list of the best BBQ restaurants in New Jersey, and Minuteman Whiskey Bar & BBQ ranked as one of the top North Jersey spots.

"Minuteman fuses Memphis and Texas-style BBQ. Their flavors come from a combination of dry rub, secret spices, and their meat smoker," the website wrote.

Minuteman Whiskey Bar & BBQ, located at 990 Mt Kemble Avenue in Morristown, has been a fixture in the community for many years.

Over the years, Minuteman has been regarded as a local favorite, even being voted "Best BBQ In New Jersey" in 2018 by New Jersey Monthly.

The classic restaurant serves sandwiches and platters with pulled pork, St. Louis ribs, pulled chicken, and Texas brisket. But that's not all; they also offer 11 sides and four different sauce options. Their distinctive Whiskey Bar offers a selection of rare bottles., Best of NJ said.

Minuteman also offers catering services, so they can supply your next event as well. The catering menu consists of brisket, pulled pork, hush puppies, mac & cheese, cornbread and more.

During the week, Minuteman also hosts live music and line dancing lessons, making it a popular hangout. For those who want to perfect their barbecue technique at home, the restaurant also offers barbecue classes. Their classes are held on Sunday mornings once a month.
