GLEN ROCK, NJ — Rock Road in Glen Rock has bloomed, according to a release.

Earlier this month, 30 artists painted spring-themed floral designs on 49 windows on 13 stores in the Bergen borough, the release said.

The artists gathered on May 16 and 14 to paint the windows, which store owners offered as palettes to make the event the Glen Rock Arts Council's "most ambitious" to date, the organization said in the release.

From poppies to pinot noir wine bottles, a variety of things inspired the designs, all of which will remain until August.

Businesses that offered their storefronts were: The Grow-Cery, Beekman Wines & Liquor, Rock'n The Grill, Invision Optics, Alpha Fit Club, Sweetberry Bowls, Rock Ridge Pharmacy, Glen Rock Art & Frame, Glitz on the Floor. Four unoccupied stores at 175, 210, and 188 Rock Road were also painted.

"The windows look so inviting," The Grow-Cery said about the snail and flower painted on its storefront. "Love it."

Among the volunteers were two Glen Rock High School Arts Honor Students (Hannah Yang and Anthony Zapotosky) and Girl Scouts from Daisy Troop 98399 and Junior Troop 97097.
