RIDGEWOOD AND GLEN ROCK, NJ — Want to run for a seat on your town's Board of Education? Those who want to be on their town's November ballot in New Jersey must file forms and signatures by this coming Monday, July 29 at 4 p.m.

In Ridgewood, the district has posted information about running on its school board elections page.

They noted: Two Board seats, each with a three-year term, and one board seat with a one-year term will be on the ballot.

Also, "As of July 19, 2022, the Office of the Bergen County Clerk will NOT be accepting electronic petitions. The acceptance of electronic petitions was dependent upon the continuing of the Public Health Emergency as initially declared by Governor Murphy by Executive Order 103."

Petitions with signatures can be brought in person to the county clerk. "Completed and notarized nominating petitions must be filed with the Bergen County Clerk's Elections Division - One Bergen County Plaza, Room 130 in Hackensack no later than 4 p.m. on the last Monday in July."

Glen Rock Information

Three seats are available on the Glen Rock school board this coming Nov. 5.

The town wrote, "Nominating Petitions must be filed in-person with the Bergen County Clerk’s Election Division no later than 4:00 p.m. on or before July 29, 2024. The Election Division is located at One Bergen County Plaza, Room 130, Hackensack, NJ 07601."
