Having produced lots of accomplished alumni who've gone on to attend some of the top institutions of education in the country, many are invited to come back and serve as instructors and coaches (Natasha Komarov, Hana Itkis, Evan Rosenberg).

The gifted staff at ICA provide a specialized Advanced Math curriculum that introduces students, gr. 1-8, to mathematical concepts not discussed or covered in most public or private elementary school curriculums (Singapore Math, The Art of Problem Solving and Number Theory.) They also employ Gamification as a chess training tool, an educational technique where children learn through game-playing by leveraging the desire to express themselves, socialize, master, compete and achieve. Then there are the ICA Camps where the staff focuses on physical activity, creativity, and socialization as essential disciplines that help to produce well-rounded chess players and competitors.

The chess program at ICA is allied with USCF Scholastic Chess which allows kids not only the opportunity to compete in tournaments at a local level, but also get ranked and compete with national and international players of their own age.

ICA has always maintained the mission to foster a safe and nurturing environment where children can learn chess, train for competition, develop self-confidence, master decision-making skills and practice good sportsmanship, all while having a fun experience.

Currently registering for Summer Day Camp in Glen Rock and Teaneck and for VIRTUAL or Hybrid Summer Camp, ICA invites parents to visit: www. icakidsonline.com for more information or contact them via email directly at: [email protected].
