Retired but active?

Retired but active?

An association of men over 55 is open to you for fellowship, personal growth, activities, and recreation. The Old Guard was founded in Summit in 1930 and has several hundred members from the surrounding counties. Members are typically professional and business men with a high level of education and experience, who are still active.

We meet weekly for companionship and to hear guest speakers on diverse topics including community affairs, social issues, health, finance, history, science and more. We also have groups doing golf, bocce, kayaking, and fishing, and interest groups on technology, investing, sports, a book club, a reminiscences group and more. In all activities we practice community, friendship, and openness.

Everything in the Old Guard is run by volunteers, and every member is expected to help according to his skills. Our dues are less than a dollar a week.

Tuesday weekly meetings are free and public, in an auditorium in New Providence Presbyterian Church, 1307 Springfield Ave, New Providence. Come as our guest at 9:30AM to hear an interesting presentation, and find out more from our website https://summitoldguard.org .
