To Prevent Fraud, Middlesex Co. Offers Property Alert Service

Through this service, residents can track their property and receive e-mail alerts.

MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ — Property and mortgage fraud is fast-growing in the United States and New Jersey.

According to officials, individuals record fraudulent documents like fake deeds or liens against property owners, putting residents at risk.

To protect against such frauds, Middlesex County is offering residents a property alert service.

By signing up for this service, residents are taking the first step in protecting their property.

Through this service, residents will be able to track their property and you will receive e-mail alerts immediately if a document with their name or property description is recorded in the Middlesex County Clerk's Office. Registration for this service is free. Follow steps at the Middlesex County Clerk's website for any type of land owned in Middlesex County, whether occupied or vacant.

Residents who find themselves victims of fraud, can call the Middlesex County Clerk's Office at 732-745-3364 or 732-745-3365.
