Jen McCave Running Energetic Campaign for Beachwood Council

McCave Running Issues Based Campaign to End One Party Rule in Beachwood

(Jen McCave)

As election day approaches, Beachwood is seeing its first competitive election in over a decade. Jen McCave, an attorney and engineer, is knocking on doors and making phone calls to rally the community behind her candidacy for Council. Says McCave, "After 12 years of rising taxes and one party rule in Beachwood, it's time for a change. I'm running for Council to be an enthusiastic advocate who will respond to the concerns of ALL Beachwood residents."

Jen McCave has raised more money than any Democrat running in Beachwood since 2012 without taking any money from special interests or professionals looking to do business in town. She was inspired to run after seeing the lack of competition in local elections and hearing the concerns of neighbors - from rising taxes and crime to the unprecedented closing of the Beachwood Beach this season. McCave is also concerned by pollution in the Toms River and will push the Council to apply for NJDEP grant money to install rain gardens and bio swales to help improve stormwater drainage and keep pollutants out of our river. She hopes to bring her experience working with local governments as an attorney to help Beachwood.

Jen has secured the endorsements of the League of Conservation Voters and the Democratic Coalition of Ocean County in her run for council, but is even more excited about the positive feedback she has received from her neighbors of all political affiliations as she speaks to them.
