Summer Splash at Pop's Coffee in Ortley Beach July 8th

Make-A-Wish New Jersey will be headed to Pop’s Coffee Shop in Ortley Beach on Saturday, July 8th from 8am to 12pm for their official Make-A-Wish New Jersey summer splash, including another generous donation by owner Phil Battista, who established the Shop to honor his parents and continue giving back.

Phil Battista will be making a 2nd consecutive $50,000 contribution to Make-A-Wish New Jersey during a check presentation and photo op at 11am on Saturday morning, having also given the organization a $50,000 gift in 2022 in support of making more wishes possible for local children battling critical illnesses. Additionally, during a morning of musical entertainment at Pop’s Coffee Shop, a percentage of the sales from 8am to 12pm will be donated to Make-A-Wish New Jersey. Phil’s Battista’s support of Make-A-Wish New Jersey is not new; over the years and with Saturday’s contribution, he has now given $300,000 to the organization’s mission to create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.

Pop’s Coffee Shop was created in memory of Phil Battista's loving mother. Along with being a mother, she was also a wife, a business partner, and a friend. Phil was inspired to create the coffee shop to give his then widowed and now late father a place to build new relationships and make new memories after his spouse of 55 years passed away – all while turning over a significant amount of profits to charity.

Saturday is a day of recognition of a generous individual in the local community, his team at Pop’s, a check presentation, and a chance for the local community to support the mission of Make-A-Wish by making a purchase at Pop’s Coffee Shop in Ortley Beach.
