Toms River Elks Invites Children To Tee It Up And Test Golf Skills

It's time to Tee It Up!

Tee It Up is a golf skills contest for children age 18 and under. The contest focuses on driving, chipping and putting. All children are welcome to join in the fun competition, and it is not necessary for a family member to be a member of the Elks.

The Order of the Elks spends more than $80,000,000 every year for benevolent, educational and patriotic community-minded programs in such fields as benefitting special needs children, sponsoring Elks National Foundation scholarships, scouting, athletic teams, veterans' works, a national "Hoop Shoot" free-throw contest involving more than 3 million children, physical and occupational therapy programs and patriotic programs. Each year, the Elks award more than $3 million in college scholarships to at least 850 outstanding, service-minded high school seniors.

Toms River Elks #1875 is one of eleven lodges in the Southeast District of New Jersey, the largest district in the state. Toms River's membership is now over 1,200, making it one of the largest lodges in the Southeast District. The Toms River Elks Lodge celebrates its 70th anniversary during 2023-24.
