Toms River Residents Come Together for 5000 Signatures to Support TRPD
On February 14 the Town Council of Toms River Approved to DEFUND the Police Force of Toms River. Now TR Residents Collect 5000 signatures.
On February 14, 2024 the Township of Toms River Council supported the Mayor's proposal to DEFUND the Toms River Police Department. By Ordinance Approval, the Council approved to cut at least 2 Captain positions, officers and on January 19th, the Mayor fired the Public Information Officer. Now the Residents of Toms River are coming together to collect 5000 signatures on a petition to repeal the Ordinance and send it back to the Township Council.
3,079 signatures are required, but the Residents will send a loud message with 5,000 signatures. All voting residents of Toms River should come out and show their support of the Toms River Police Force and more importantly, the Residents should know the facts...true facts.
