WAYNE, NJ - Contractors are slated to begin milling and paving work in Wayne this week, Patch previously reported.

Milling operations on a 700-foot section of Jackson Avenue (near Smith Lane) are set to begin on Friday, Wayne police said in a statement.

Paving is subsequently set for Monday, May 1 at around 11 a.m., police added.

The roadway will remain open with alternating traffic; Pompton Falls fire station activity will also not be impacted, police said.
