Sub-$4 Gas In Wayne? Cheapest Deals As Prices Creep Down

WAYNE, NJ — Gas around Wayne, and the United States, has a long way to go before reaching fuel prices even from a year ago. But pumps around the township have made some progress.

The average price for a gallon of regular gas in the Bergen-Passaic metro area totaled $4.19 as of Wednesday, with diesel at $5.21, according to AAA. A year ago, gas in the region averaged $3.18, while diesel stood at $3.36.

But several pumps around Wayne have crept closer to the sub-$4 mark, while a couple even reached the milestone. Here are the prices as of Wednesday afternoon, according to GasBuddy:
