FRANKLINVILLE, NJ — A woman jumped through a window as a man fired gunshots at her, prompting a SWAT team response Saturday morning in Gloucester County, officials said.

The man, who police haven't publicly identified, faces several charges, including first-degree attempted homicide. The woman was not shot, but she was brought to the hospital with injuries sustained from jumping out of the home's first-floor window, authorities said.

Franklin Township police were dispatched for a reported shooting at 4:33 a.m. in the 1500 block of Weymouth Road in Franklinville. Arriving officers found the victim — a 26-year-old woman — at a neighbor's home after she escaped.
