UNION COUNTY, NJ — The polls are closed and the 2024 unofficial Primary Election votes for the Union County Board of Commissioners are being tallied unofficially.

The Union County clerk has not certified the totals yet. To make the tally official, the final certification of the results must be done.

There were only three Republicans and three Democrats running in the uncontested primary election.

Union County Board of County Commissioners:

  • Kimberly Palmieri-Mouded - Democrat* - 22,133
  • James E. Baker Jr - Democrat - 20,416
  • Alexander Mirabella - Democrat* - 20,207
  • Michael Petrucci - Republican - 9,965
  • Mary O’Connor - Republican - 9,957
  • Jeanne Kingsley - Republican - 9,846

The general election is scheduled for Nov. 5, and whoever is elected will begin their term in January 2025.
