WESTWOOD, NJ — Coronavirus cases continue to drop across the country while the number of those who are fully vaccinated continues to rise, which means there is even more reason to celebrate this Independence Day. July 4 is almost here, so it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you.

We have all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Westwood and Hillsdale so you can start planning now.

July 4 Festivities

Where: Corner of Century Rd. and Farview Ave.

When: 9 to 11 a.m.


What: Just Jersey Food Truck and Music Festival

Where: Westfield Garden State Plaza Parking Lot

When: July 4, 2 to 8:30 p.m.


What: Paramus 4th of July Fireworks

Where: Cliff Gennarelli-Paramus Sports-Plex

When: July 4, 6 to 10:30 p.m.

FAIR LAWN

What: Fair Lawn Fireworks Show

Where: Memorial Park, Berdan Avenue and 1st Street, Fair Lawn

When: July 1, starting at 9 p.m. (Rain date is July 6)

From the borough:

“The skies will glow with a multitude of colorful designs and explosions will be heard to honor America's freedom. Bring your family, friends, blankets or lawn chair to Memorial Park. Early arrivals will be treated to music from the "Due South" band. For your convenience vendors will be on location to sell food and drink for your pleasure and enjoyment.”

GLEN ROCK

What: 4th of July Parade

When: July 4, 9:30 a.m.

Where: Glen Rock Borough Hall, Glen Rock


What: Glen Rock Pops Concert

When: July 3, 7 p.m.

Where: Glen Rock Borough Hall

Both events in Glen Rock are hosted by the Glen Rock IDA, with the Pops kicking things off. From the organization:

“Keeping up the tradition, the Glen Rock Pops will open the Independence Day celebration on Saturday July 3 with a free concert on the lawn of Borough Hall at 7:00pm. Bring chairs and blankets and enjoy the music of the night.”

RIDGEWOOD

What: Ridgewood 4th of July Celebration

When: July 5, 9 a.m.

Where: Wilsey Square, Ridgewood

This two-part event includes the annual flag raising ceremony at Wilsey Square starting at 9 a.m., followed by a parade starting at 10 a.m.

“During the 2021 celebration, all current quarantine, social distancing guidelines and mask requirements must be followed,” organizers said.

The ceremony and parade will also be streamed on Facebook.

WAYNE

What: Wayne PAL 4th of July Fireworks

When: July 1, gates open at 6 p.m., fireworks begin around 9:15 p.m.

Where: Wayne Hills High School

After being canceled amid the coronavirus in 2020, the Wayne Police Athletic League is ready to host the township’s fireworks display again in 2021. Organizers are advertising “activities for the kids, plenty of food and fun” during the event’s return.

TEANECK

What: Teaneck Community Celebration Concert

When: July 4, 12:30 p.m.

Where: Votee Park Rotary Band Shell


What: Teaneck 4th of July Parade

When: July 4, 9:30 a.m.

Where: Begins at the west end of Queen Anne Road, ends at Votee Park

Festivities begin with the township parade, which starts at the west end of Queen Anne Road and ends at Votee Park. Events and festivities are scheduled at the park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Things continue with a performance from Total Soul on 4th of July in Teaneck. The group performs an R&B, soul and classic disco style, playing hit songs from “the great artists from the sixties through today.”
