Acme To Close More Bergen County Locations: Report

Two Acme supermarkets will close by early October, a report says.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ – Acme Markets is closing two more of its Bergen County supermarkets, according to a report.

A company spokesperson told NJ.com that the stores in Woodcliff Lake and Elmwood Park are set to shutter by Oct. 2.

Acme also plans to close locations in Weehawken and Scarsdale, N.Y., the report said. Employees at those four stores can transfer to nearby locations with open positions.

After October, there will be six Acme Markets left in Bergen County: Allendale, Edgewater, Fort Lee, Mahwah, Midland Park and Saddle Brook.

In 2018, Acme shut down its Park Ridge supermarket. A year before, its Bergenfield location was closed.
