Free Lunch For Gov't Workers During Shutdown At Westwood Eatery

Westwood's Downtown Dhaba has stepped up to offer free lunches to federal government workers during the shutdown.

WESTWOOD, NJ — A borough restaurant has stepped up to help workers affected by the ongoing federal government shutdown.

Downtown Dhaba is offering free lunches to federal employees and their families who are not being paid during the shutdown. The restaurant serves freshly-made Indian cuisine.

"We urge other businesses to follow suit," the restaurant said on its Facebook page. "We hope this undue hardship facing our loyal Federal employees ends soon."

Workers need to present their federal identification cards in order to get the discount.
