Harlem Globetrotters to Visit Children's Hospitals in NJ Dec. 10

Known worldwide as the “Ambassadors of Goodwill,” the Harlem Globetrotters will visit 12 children’s hospitals in the NYC-area on Wednesday, Dec. 10.

Globetrotters Thunder Law, Ant Atkinson and female star TNT Maddox will spin basketballs and brighten the day of hundreds of special fans unable to attend the upcoming holiday games in the NYC-area.

TNT joined the Globies in 2011, and was the first female Globie to play on the team since 1993. She played undergrad NCAA basketball at Temple and has even played in a pick-up game with the President.

Each one-hour visit, dubbed the team’s “Smile Patrol™,” will be part of the Globetrotters largest one-day hospital initiative in the team’s 89-year history.

Below are the times the “Smile Patrol” will visit New Jersey hospitals:

• 10:15 .a.m. – 11:15 a.m. (TNT) Holy Name Hospital, 718 Teaneck Rd, Teaneck, NJ
• 12:15 p.m. – 1:15 p.m. (TNT) Goryeb Children’s Hospital, 100 Madison Ave, Morristown, NJ
• 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. (TNT) Clara Maas Medical Center, 1 Clara Maas Dr, Belleville, NJ
• 2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. (Thunder) Trinitas Hospital Wound Healing, 240 Williamson St, Elizabeth, NJ
• 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. (TNT) Children’s Hospital of NJ at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, 201 Lyons Ave, Newark, NJ
• 4:15pm – 5:15pm (Thunder) Liberty Wellness Foundation/Barnabas Health, 355 Grand St, Jersey City, NJ

For those wanting to attend a Harlem Globetrotters game, the 2015 Harlem Globetrotters “Washington Generals’ Revenge” Tour will bring 10 games to the New York City area starting Saturday, Dec. 27 and continuing through Saturday, Jan. 3.
