Hillsdale: Pascack Brook Reaches Flood Stage 1

The Office of Emergency Management announced the news as Tropical Depression Ida moved through North Jersey on Wednesday night.

HILLSDALE, NJ — Pascack Brook has officially reached the first stage of flooding, the Hillsdale Office of Emergency Management announced on Wednesday night.

The office had been monitoring the rising water levels of the brook starting Wednesday evening, and saw the water continue to rise as the remnants of Tropical Depression idea hammered North Jersey.

As of 10:30 p.m., the brook was at level 3.5, which is the first flood stage. The next stage is at 4.5, the office said in an earlier notification.

After the brook reached level 3.5, the office sent out the first flood notification, and activated the siren warning system, they said.

Flooding was seen across Bergen County and North Jersey on Wednesday.

Lodi police announced that the Saddle River was expected to overflow on Wednesday night, and multiple road closures were announced across the county. In Wyckoff, the police department simply stated that there was "severe flooding in most parts of town."
