Man Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Child In Old Tappan

OLD TAPPAN, NJ — An 44-year-old New York man was accused of repeatedly sexually assaulting a child in Old Tappan, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said in a Friday news release.

Nikolaos Chlios, an audio video installer from Queens, was arrested and charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault, second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, and third-degree aggravated criminal sexual contact. He was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending his first court appearance, the prosecutor's office said.

An investigation revealed that the Old Tappan victim was sexually assaulted on multiple occasions, the prosecutor's office said.
