Playa Bowls To Open Two More Bergen County Shops

Playa Bowls, the popular smoothie bowl shop, plans to open two new locations in Bergen County.

WESTWOOD, NJ —Playa Bowls, the popular smoothie bowl shop, plans to open two new locations in Bergen County.

One shop will be located in Westwood, at 99 Westwood Avenue and the second location will be at 82 Park Avenue in East Rutherford, according to the Goldstein Group, the real estate firm that brokered the deals.

Founded by Jersey Shore natives Abby Taylor and Robert Guiliani, the popular New Jersey-based company is known for its tropical fruit bowls, exotic smoothies and island-themed décor. The pair was inspired by the açaí and pitaya bowls they discovered during trips to surfing towns and decided to open their first Playa Bowls in Belmar.

Playa Bowls operates more than 70 locations along the East Coast, with another 30 in development. Customers can build acai- and pitaya-based bowls, as well as bowls with blended banana, chia seeds, coconut, kale or oatmeal, along with a variety of healthy toppings.

An official opening date was not yet announced.

Additional locations are also coming soon to West Caldwell and East Brunswick, according to The Goldstein Group.
