WESTWOOD-HILLSDALE, NJ — Recreational marijuana will be sold on Thursday for people 21 and older in New Jersey.
At about a 20-min drive, a dispensary in Rochelle Park will be selling marijuana without a medical pot card. The store will be under the Ascend banner and will open at 8 a.m.
Other dispensaries nearby include Rise in Paterson and Bloomfield and TerrAscend in Maplewood.

Recreational users can buy up to one ounce in a single transaction, according to New Jersey's Cannabis Regulatory Commission.
