Westwood Chef Competes On Food Network's 'Best Bobby Flay'
Cho prepared a kalbi ribeye steak taco with Korean slaw and a Monte Cristo, but were they enough to beat Flay?
WESTWOOD, NJ — Pitmaster Robert Cho, owner of Kimchi Smoke BBQ in the borough, faced off against Bobby Flay this week on Food Network's "Beat Bobby Flay."
The episode, entitled "Sour With The Sweet," had Cho using Cowboy Ribeye as an ingredient. He impressed the judges with this kalbi ribeye steak taco with Korean slaw. His first round win gave Cho the chance to compete against Flay.
Cho and Flay made Monte Cristo sandwiches for their head-to-head. Cho's featured egg, Taylor Ham and fried chicken, but he lost to Flay. Cho served the sandwich as a special at Kimchi Smoke Friday.

"I appreciate all the support I got," Cho said on Facebook. "It was truly an adventure and I know Jersey and Bergen County were rooting for me. I really felt it and I gave it my all."
