With rain and snow in the forecast, Westwood Regional Schools will have a delayed opening Thursday, Jan. 20.
WESTWOOD, NJ —With rain and snow in the forecast, Westwood Regional Schools will have a delayed opening Thursday, Jan. 20.
The National Weather Service said that rain or a mix of rain and snow are likely before 4 a.m. Snow will continue until the noon hour Thursday, and will likely be under two inches of accumulation. The timing of the predicted snowfall makes the commute to school more difficult.
All schools will follow the delayed opening procedure, meaning students and staff report to school 90 minutes later than they normally do. Bus pick-ups will also be 90 minutes later.

All before-school clubs and care programs are canceled.
A winter weather advisory has been issued for east Bergen County and several other New Jersey counties from 5 a.m. until 1 p.m. Thursday.
