Small Plane Lands On Fire Island Beach Monday: FAA

The plane landed just after noon on Monday, officials say.

FIRE ISLAND, NY — A plane landed on the beach on Fire Island Monday afternoon, authorities said.

According to a statement by the Federal Aviation Administration, a single-engine Piper PA-28 landed on Atlantique Beach at around 12:15 p.m.

Two people were onboard, the FAA said. Suffolk County Police told Patch that no one was injured in the crash.
