Police Say 17-Year-Old Threatened Woman With BB Gun In Hicksville

Nassau police said they had recovered an imitation pistol-BB gun.

HICKSVILLE, NY — A 17-year-old faces weapons and menacing charges after an incident at 12:50 a.m. Tuesday in Hicksville, Nassau police said.

According to detectives, a female victim was approached by a 17-year-old at a residence. He brandished what appeared to be a firearm and threatened her, police said.

He then left, but was apprehended by police a short time later without incident.

Police said they had recovered an imitation pistol-BB gun used in the commission of the crime.

The 17-year-old is charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree menacing.

He will be arraigned on Tuesday at the Youth Part of First District Court, 99 Main Street in Hempstead.
