Ronald McDonald House Receives $20K In Honor Of Bethpage Boy

NEW HYDE PARK, NY — The family of Andrew Alati, who was killed in 2019 in a crash while riding his bike, has donated to the Ronald McDonald House in New Hyde Park.

The Andrew Alati Foundation delivered $20,000 to the charity that focuses on children with cancer by comforting the families.

Andrew, 13, was struck by a vehicle in Levittown while riding home on June 30, 2019.

The Alati family, who lives in nearby Bethpage, said their goal is to "honor him and continue his legacy of kindness and compassion by other families."
