Special Weather Statement in Effect For Levittown
National Weather Service issues statement for the region.
The National Weather Service has issued the following special weather statement for parts of Long Island:
...FOG WILL REDUCE VISIBILITIES TODAY... PERSISTENT FOG WILL REDUCE VISIBILITIES ACROSS THE SOUTH COASTAL AREAS OF NASSAU AND SUFFOLK COUNTIES TODAY. THE FOG WILL ALSO IMPACT THE WATERWAYS ACROSS THIS REGION...WHERE VISIBILITIES ARE EXPECTED TO DROP WELL UNDER A MILE. IN SOME CASES...THE VISIBILITY WILL DROP TO UNDER 1/4 MILE.
Temperatures Monday may hit 80 across the North Shore, but the NWS expects thing to be cooler on Long Island’s South Shore, with the mercury topping out in the low-70s. On Tuesday, there’s a chance of showers and thunderstorms, but the summer-like warmth will be more evenly distributed with highs near 80 across the island.
