42nd Paumanauke Pow Wow Comes To Copiague

The 42nd annual Paumanauku Pow Wow comes to Tanner Park on Saturday.

COPIAGUE, NY — Suffolk County residents will have the chance to celebrate Native American culture with the return of the annual Paumanauke Pow Wow in Copiague.

The 42nd pow wow, hosted by Paumanauke Native American Festival Inc., The Babylon Citizens Council on the Arts and the Town of Babylon, comes to Tanner Park this weekend.

On Saturday, the pow wow will run from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., and on Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The pow wow will take place rain or shine and organizers recommend that guests bring chairs.

The event will feature Aztec and traditional dancers, traditional drumming, native food, dance competitions, arts and crafts and music.
