Lindenhurst UFSD Board of Ed Welcomes New Officials

The Lindenhurst Board of Education held its annual reorganization meeting on July 10.

LINDENHURST, NY—The Lindenhurst Board of Education held its annual reorganization meeting on July 10.

During the meeting, returning trustees were sworn in and members nominated the board president and vice president for the 2024-2025 school year.

Additionally, Vincent A. Caravana was sworn in as Superintendent of Schools. Carvana is also a Lindenhurst graduate who previously served as Interim Superintendent.

Donna Hochman and Josephine Martino were selected as board president and vice president. Trustees Maryellen Cunningham, Claire McKeon and President Hochman were sworn in after winning reelection in May.

“It is a great honor and privilege to sit on this Board and serve the wider Lindenhurst community,” Hochman said. “I look forward to continuing the work of providing our students with the best possible educational experience and ensuring our schools remain Lindy Strong!”
