Lindy Alumnus Offers Timeless Advice for Lindy Students!

1974-2023 Jim Barbarino continues to bring people closer together with great advice, fun and friendship!

I was looking through FACEBOOK pages today and hopped on one of my favorite groups, "It's a Lindenhurst Thing....You Wouldn't Understand". This group is managed by a Lindy Grad Jim "Jimbo" Barbarino, who posted this great reprint of an article he wrote for the school newspaper back in 1974.
Along the lines of the Baz Luhrman song reminding the Class of 1999 to remember to wear their sunscreen or Irma Bombeck's famous poem "If I had my Life to Live Over..." musing that she would have invited friends over to dinner even if the carpet was stained and the sofa faded or rolled down the car windows after she had just styled her hair, Jim's 1974 article still holds good advice for today's modern students.
Jim has kept his tune the same; he continues to bring people together with his popular FACEBOOK page, with the same spirit as his article he wrote in high school. His notalgic posts delight Lindy residents no matter when they join the neighborhood and he runs the "Any Year " (1st Saturday in August) Reunion at Venetian Shores annually for the past 13 years. So take a moment to read it and take the time to get to know someone today and every day. Getting to know the people around you only promises to make life more exciting and fun, and of course.... remember to dance, according to Lee Ann Womack....
