Pumpkin picking season is here! We've compiled a list of some of the best farms for pick-your-own pumpkins and other fall festivities.

Patch has compiled a list of some places where Long Islanders can take part in the classic fall activity.

Many of the pumpkin picking locations offer a little bit of everything for fall fun, such as fall festivals and hayrides, while other places stick to the basics and provide their customers with you-pick fields where they can get fresh pumpkins.

Where to go pumpkin picking on Long Island:

White Post Farms

  • 250 Old Country Road in Melville
  • White Post Farms is open to the public for pumpkin picking from Sep. 29 - Oct. 25 on Saturdays and Sundays and on Columbus Day. Admission gates are open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., but guests can stay until 6 p.m. Admission includes entertainment and games. Admission on Fall Festival days is $18 a person. Pumpkins are priced by the pound.

Harbes Family Farm

  • 5698 Sound Avenue in Riverhead
  • Harbes Farm offers pumpkin picking from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays from Sept. 19 through Oct. 25. Rides, games and entertainment are also available.

Stakey’s Pumpkin Farm

  • 270 West Lane in Aquebogue
  • Stakey’s is open for pumpkin picking Mon. - Fri. from noon to 5 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Columbus Day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Schmitt’s Family Farm

  • 26 Pinelawn Road in Melville
  • Schmitt’s Family farm is open every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for pumpkin picking through Oct. 31. Hayrides and corn maze are also available on weekends.

Fink’s Country Farm

  • 6242 Middle Country Road in Wading River
  • Fink’s offering pumpkin picking open to the public from Monday-Friday from 2 to 5 p.m. It is available on weekends but only to those attending the Fall Festival from 9:30 am. to 5:30 p.m. until Nov. 1.

Brightwaters Farms

  • 1624 Manatuck Boulevard in Bay Shore
  • Brightwaters Farms holds its Fall Harvest from Saturday, Sept. 26 until Saturday, Oct. 31. The farm is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. No charge for admission on weekdays. Admission on weekends and Columbus Day is $10 a person. Children under 1 are free. Pumpkin picking is 69 cents per pound.

Hank’s Pumpkintown

  • 240 Montauk Highway in Water Mill
  • Hank’s is open for pumpkin picking every day from Sept. 12 until Nov. 1. Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Benner’s Farm

  • 56 Gnarled Hollow Road in Setauket
  • Benner’s is open for pumpkin picking weekends in October beginning Oct. 2. Entertainment and rides are also available as well as a Harvest Festival Oct. 11 from noon to 4 p.m.

Elwood Pumpkin Farm

  • 1500 E. Jericho Turnpike in Huntington
  • Elwood Pumpkin Farm is open for pumpkin picking from Sep. 27 through October. They are open Monday-Friday from 3 to 5 p.m. and Saturdays, Sundays and Columbus Day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Fairview Farm

  • 69 Horsemill Lane in Bridgehampton
  • Fairview Farm is open for pumpkin picking until Nov. 3., Thursday - Sunday. from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. They are also open on Columbus Day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Gabrielsen’s Country Farm

  • 1299 Main Road in Jamesport
  • Gabrielsen’s Country Farm is open seven days a week including holidays through Dec. 24 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Rides, games, and other entertainment can also be found on the farm.

Glover Farms

  • 633 Victory Avenue in Brookhaven
  • Glover Farms is open for pumpkin picking beginning Oct. 3, Mon. - Fri. from 2 to 6 p.m., Saturdays, Sundays and Columbus Day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. through October.
